TEDxDelthorneWomen Creates Platform for Collective Liberation

I’m very excited to announce and celebrate the TEDxDelthorneWomen speaker line-up! I’m honored to be on the TEDxDelthorneWomen team for the 5th year in a row to support these amazing speakers as they prepare for their big day on stage.
In case you are new to this community, TEDxDelthorneWomen is a TEDx event based in Los Angeles, started by writer, author, tech entrepreneur and special needs advocate Eraina Ferguson. In 2021, Eraina moved to North Carolina and turned over the event curation, hosting, producing and leadership to Sonali Fiske.
Sonali is a Sri Lankan-born leadership consultant based in Southern California amplifying the voices of Black, Indigenous, Women of Color and the creator of BIWoC Revolutionary Voices Take the Mic.
This year, Farah Yasmeen Shaikh, joins the team as co-producer. Farah is an internationally acclaimed Kathak Artist as a performer, choreographer, and instructor, and Founder & Artistic Director of Noorani Dance, with two decades of training from the late Pandit Chitresh Das.
With this year’s event and theme, Collective Liberation, we're intent on elevating the voices that are reimagining a new and just society through a liberatory praxis, combining storytelling and lived experience as a throughway. Not just from a space of dismantling tired, old concepts and fighting oppressive views, but implanting fresh seeds rooted in new imaginings, curiosity and right relationship.

From a spoken word artist, ordained elder, and president-elect of the American Psychological Association, to a Zapotec leader and advocate for Indigenous migrant rights throughout California, to a linguist and social impact entrepreneur specializing in Black-centric language coaching and multilingual community building across the African diaspora — these are just a few of the beautiful, revolutionary speakers who will be at this year’s TEDxDelthorneWomen.
