We did it!!! Democracy has prevailed! Welcome Madam Vice President Kamala Devi Harris.

I, like probably many of you, watched Inauguration Day on television with my family from my home (in Santa Monica). I’ll admit that I didn’t just watch the one-hour swearing in ceremony, I watched the inaugural events ALL DAY.

It was a historic day on so many levels. I couldn’t get enough of it!!!

Today marks a new beginning. The beginning of our road back to dignity, decency and respect for our democracy. But not the democracy of the past; a democracy for the future. One that is truly representative of who we are — and one that actually guarantees equal rights for all people.

At the same time, there are still many folks holding on to an old system that alienates, excludes, oppresses and abuses the majority of the population.

I am not naive to think that this old system and old way of thinking will magically disappear. Or that the people who hold it dear will have a revelation tomorrow and lay down their arms, stop the violence, end the corruption, and embrace a system of legalized equality and social justice. I don’t think it’s going to happen like that.

But, I do believe that we have begun a new chapter in our American history, and I’m excited to support the evolution of our democracy toward true equality in the days ahead.

I believe that we each have a role in evolving our democracy.

Have you considered what your role might be? If not, please take these coming days to reflect on this question. It’s going to take all of us, and you definitely have a role to play.

My role, as I see it, is to amplify the voices of women changemakers as I’ve been doing over the years, and to activate the Remembrance of the Divine Feminine in Politics.

Did you know that a Goddess stands atop the U.S. Capitol Building? She is based off of the Roman Goddess Libertas, the Goddess of Liberty, and Minerva, the Goddess of Wisdom and Strategy.

As my friend Joanne Ameya Cohen, founder of the Woman Rising Mystery School, recently said:

“And here stands The Goddess, as She always will. Standing 19 feet and 6 inches High, sword in hand to defend, bring power-with and anchor FREEDOM.”

Also, did you also know that Vice President Kamala Harris’s middle name “Devi” is the Sanskrit word for “Goddess”? In case you missed it, I wrote about this in an earlier blog.

When I talk about changemakers, I define this as someone who is challenging or disrupting the current system that perpetuates inequality and social injustice >> and paving a pathway for a new way of thinking and doing things — that leads us toward wholeness, equality and justice.

I know that’s many of you!

Along these lines, I’ve been cooking up a new project to step in at a greater level to support the voices, leadership and legacy of feminine changemakers, like you.

I'll be sharing more about this next month.

In the meanwhile, I’m deep in the process of tuning in to how I can best serve and support the re-activation and Remembrance of the Feminine in politics. Please stay tuned as things unfold.

Right now, I want to thank you in a big way for being a part of this community of changemakers. Thank you for everything you’ve been doing to create a more loving and humane world! Let’s rejoice in the light coming through today.

I wish you safety, peace and good health in the days ahead. I’ll be in touch again soon.
