Are You in Transition in Your Leadership?

In early 2020, about 6 months before I turned 50, the Queen archetype came through to me. She appeared mysteriously in one of my craniosacral sessions, then again in my meditations, and then in everyday ways — like when I was drinking tea with the tagline “Fit for a Queen.”

I didn’t understand her significance at first. I knew the Queen was an archetype of the Divine Feminine, but didn’t know much more than that.

As I did some research, I found that some women considered her an emerging archetype for the stage of life between Motherhood and Cronehood.

As the Mother of a young child at the time (my son was 8), who had already gone through the menopausal passage — which typically marks the entry into Crone — this resonated with me deeply.

I was still very much embodying and associating with the Mother archetype, and felt far from a Crone!

As psychologist, Sandra Rogers, says in her book, Inviting the Queen: An Emerging Archetype for Women in Midlife:

“We women live longer and hold professional roles outside of our homes, and feel relevant and productive in our lives for decades longer than our forbears did… Most of us are not ready to give up the more youthful and vigorous energy associated with the Mother in our fifties and sixties—or even seventies or eighties, if we remain healthy.”

Enter the Queen.

Over the past three years, since awakening to the Queen archetype, I have redefined what leadership is in my life, and have changed how I show up in leadership.

In my experience, the Queen embodies the Mother, the Priestess, the Goddess and the Crone. She is a wise woman in her power and in service to the greater good of the whole. She is a leader and a visionary, and holds space so that everyone knows and feels in their bones that they belong.

The Queen doesn’t covet power. She knows there is enough for everyone, and is dedicated to helping others access their own power and unique gifts for the benefit of all.

The Queen has helped me access more of my innate power, reclaim my worthiness and more deeply embody Truth, Integrity, Courage, Compassion, Wisdom, Magic, Leader, Teacher, Mother, Lover, Sister and Friend.

She has also confirmed for me the importance of living my legacy and how that contributes to our collective legacy.

That’s why I was so excited when Dr. Rima Bonario invited me to be on the faculty of The Queens’ Council: A 10-Part Masterclass Series, to help female creatives, professionals, and changemakers awaken and amplify their sacred feminine sovereignty.

If you are in a stage of life where you are transitioning from Mother to Crone (like I was), but feel like you might have skipped a step; or you’ve already made the passage, but don’t yet feel fully “arrived”; or you might even be fully embodying Mother or Maiden, and at the same time, feel the calling of the Queen — you are invited to join us on the Queens' Council in November.

The more I do this work, the more I am finding that the Queen is awakening in women at all stages of life. She lives in all of us, and is there to help you value your sacred gifts, own your self-worth, own your self-authority and show up in your unique leadership.

There will be 14 faculty members all devoted to supporting you to rise in your sacred feminine sovereignty and Queenhood. You can see the faculty bios and session topics here.

I’ll be teaching a session on the Expressive Queen.

We begin next week! I’d love to see you there. To your Queenhood…
